The film "Girl in the Morning Light" is a "horror film" in my opinion, the story takes place in a village in Canada in the early twentieth century, the girl who originally had a happy family, Aurora, after her mother Marianne was infected with tuberculosis, saw that her father not only did not care about taking care of her mother, but hooked up with his cousin, and finally her mother died in pain and anger, leaving three poor children, and later her father married his cousin, and thus began Aurora's tragic life.
Aurora is an extremely sensitive girl, she is not as smart as her sister to her stepmother, nor does she have her brother's young ignorance and does not know how to resist, plus she witnessed her father's betrayal when her mother had not yet passed away, so she was very disgusted with her stepmother, and the contradiction between the two deepened, which made the vicious stepmother slowly turn from the initial corporal punishment to naked abuse. The father only took care of his work, ignored the family, ignored the village pastor, and the neighbors did not care about themselves, all of which created the final tragedy of the little girl.
Children themselves are weak, they are easy to be bullied by adults, and because domestic violence is hidden, it is often unknown. Beating a child, the wounds may be seen by outsiders, and they can still be perceived, and there are so many cold violence, causing great harm to the child's soul, and outsiders are even more unknown.
After watching this film, I am already heartbroken, not to mention that it is still based on real events, I just want to say that my child, I will definitely let her grow up healthy and happy, because my life does not belong to me, I want to work hard for the child, this is the responsibility of the mother.
