Shen Junru (1875-1963), originally from Jiaxing, Zhejiang, was a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. In 1905, he studied in Japan, returned to Japan in 1907, and joined the League and the Minamisha in 1912. In November 1920, Shen Junru's family moved into the address. He believed that the root cause of the ineffectiveness of social reform was that the family still maintained the bad customs of feudal patriarchy, and since December, he has written a long article "New Theory of the Family" serialized in the "Zhonghua New Daily"; took the lead in reforming the old customs of the festival in his own home; and participated in the "New Meeting of family day". On June 3, 1921, in order to save money, the family moved to Jiaxing. Then he joined the league, participated in the preparation of the National Salvation Congress, founded the "National Weekly", and so on, and Shen Junru struggled for resistance, democracy, and unity all his life.
When New China was founded, Shen Junru, as an important representative of the democratic parties, attended the founding ceremony and was elected president of the Supreme Court of the Central People's Government, making irreplaceable contributions to the building of the legal system in New China.
