From this, it is known that Wen Guanguo was called the civil official flower in the Song Dynasty, and the civil officials at that time were also the first to wear white robes, the second to green robes, and then red robes, and the largest officials wore purple robes.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, candidates from all over the country, when waiting for the release of the results after the exam, the candidates would flock to the two Wenguan fruits of the Dabei Temple in the eight major places of the west mountain of the capital, and pray for good luck under the trees with the metaphor of "civil official fruit". Every time the champion is born, he will always tie red silk on the Wenguan fruit tree to express his gratitude, and the title of "champion tree" will go away. Later, the Wenguanguo in the Eight Places of Xishan in Beijing also became a tree of prayer for students, symbolizing the fame and prosperity of the official fortune.
