The No. 2 Primary School of Longsheng Town, Longsheng Autonomous County, Guangxi Province, is a school dominated by ethnic minority students. In recent years, the school has introduced folk sports, singing and dancing programs such as "hydrangea", "bamboo pole dance" and "doye dance" into physical education classes, large recesses, after-school services and other links, so that students can learn traditional Chinese culture experientially. Longsheng Autonomous County is the earliest ethnic minority autonomous county established in the central and southern regions, and more than eighty percent of the population is an ethnic minority. In recent years, the local education department has actively carried out the excavation, sorting and protection of traditional culture, compiled school-based teaching materials for traditional sports of ethnic minorities, arranged traditional songs and dances of ethnic minorities between classes, promoted intangible cultural heritage items into campuses, and promoted the in-depth integration of multi-ethnic cultures.
