Affected by heavy rainfall, the water level of the Hukou Hydrological Station of Poyang Lake rose to 19.52 meters at 11 o'clock on the 28th, and according to the "Regulations on the Numbering of Major River Floods in Jiangxi Province", the flood numbering standard was reached, and the "Poyang Lake Flood No. 1 in 2024" was formed on June 28. The tail of Poyang Lake and all relevant units along the lake and the public are requested to strengthen precautions and pay attention to avoiding risks.

During the period, the cumulative rainfall is 70~140 mm in northern Jiangxi, and it can reach more than 240 mm locally; 40~70 mm in the southern part of northern Jiangxi, and more than 100 mm locally; It is 10~40 mm in central and southern Jiangxi, and can reach more than 60 mm locally. After July 3, Jiangxi Province turned sunny and hot weather, and the precipitation concentration period brought by the westerly wind belt system came to an end.

According to the latest statistics from the Jiangxi Provincial Emergency Management Department: as of 15:30 on June 27, the floods and geological disasters that began on the 22nd caused 787,000 people in 63 counties (cities, districts, including functional areas) in 9 districted cities (except Ganzhou and Ji'an) in Nanchang, Jiujiang, Jingdezhen, Pingxiang, Xinyu, Yichun, Fuzhou, Yingtan and Shangrao, 11,023 people were evacuated for emergency evacuation, 11,674 people were urgently resettled, 2,733 people needed emergency living assistance, and 798,000 hectares of crops were affected ( 1.197 million mu), 28,000 hectares (42,000 mu) of harvest, 11 houses and 31 houses collapsed, 25 houses and 57 houses were seriously damaged, and 86 houses were generally damaged, with a direct economic loss of 670 million yuan, and the disaster is still being further statistically verified.
