In order to better study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and strive to create a best practice place for Xi Jinping Cultural Thought, on June 27, the District Zhi Office and Jiangwan Town Street jointly launched the "Why Hongkou - 2024 Hongkou District Local Chronicles Achievements into the Community" activity, attracting nearly 60 people to participate, and conducted a live broadcast on the "Jiangwan Cloud Classroom" platform, with more than 100 views.
At the book donation ceremony, the District Zhi Office presented the Hongkou Yearbook (2023) to the representatives of the neighborhood committees of Jiangwan Town Street, Liangcheng Xincun Street, Guangzhong Road Street, Quyang Road Street, North Bund Street, Jiaxing Road Street, North Sichuan Road Street, and Ouyang Road Street, and also presented the "Jiangwan Li Zhi" printed in 1924 to Jiangwan Town Street. At the same time, the Party Working Committee of Jiangwan Town Street presented "Jiangwan Town Chronicles (1994-2006)" to the representatives of the street lecturer group, and Chen Zuen, the author of "Jiangwan", presented "Jiangwan" to the citizen post stations of Jiangwan Town Street.
After that, Chen Zuen, a distinguished researcher at the Institute of History of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and a professor at Donghua University, gave a special lecture on "The History and Scenery of Jiangwan Town", which described in detail the historical evolution of Jiangwan, the achievements of Jiangwan in urban construction, education, medical care and other aspects in modern times, and the tragic history of Jiangwan's military and civilian resistance to Japanese aggression.
There is a record: "Eighteen bends of the Qiujiang River, bends to the river". Jiangwan town was founded in the Song Dynasty, more than 1,000 years ago, the so-called "Jinluodian, Yinnanxiang, Tongjiangwan, Tiedachang" of Tongjiangwan, is to Jiangwan town as the core of Jiangwan area. In 1928, the Shanghai Special City established the Jiangwan District, giving Jiangwan a new meaning. As the local education of Shanghai's local conditions, Jiangwan Songhu Railway, Jiangwan Hospital, Yejia Garden, etc., are all major events in the history of modern Shanghai.
