The hook pink butterfly of the results of the Tianmu Mountain Research Examination

The Tianmu Mountain Research Examination was successfully concluded, and the 4 groups of students observed and collected more than 70 species of insects, and sorted out and made more than 150 insect specimens, which can be described as a full harvest. After sorting, classification and identification, a total of 1 individual hooked pink butterfly was collected.

Gopteryx mahaguru Gistel, 1857, belongs to the genus Lepidoptera Pink Butterfly, mainly distributed in Northeast China, Hebei, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Beijing and other places. The males have a thick yellow forewing with a protruding apex angle in a hook-like shape; there is an orange-yellow spot at the end of the middle chamber of the wing; the female butterfly has a lighter wing color than the male butterfly. Overall , there is little difference in appearance between male and female adult butterflies , with grey patches and white spots on the bottom of the forewings and reddish brown hindwings , as well as grey patches and a few white spots.
