On January 28, the second model of the GMA (Gordon Murray Automotive), the Gordon Murray T.33, was officially released.
The car is positioned as a supercar GT that will be produced at GMA's new factory in Windlesham, UK, limited to 100 units, and is expected to sell for more than 1.37 million pounds (about 11.68 million yuan), almost catching up with the price of two Rolls-Royce Cullinan (6.1 million yuan).
From the outside, the new car adopts a retro look, a bit like the Lali 250 GTO, Lamborghini Miura or Aston Martin DB5, which has the aesthetic of the 60s model of the last century.
It should be noted that the car uses a lot of "subtraction", such as its LED headlights, in addition to having conventional lighting functions, it also plays the role of a vent to help cool the brakes.
Due to the new carbon fiber architecture, the curb weight is only 1090 kg, and in terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4398/1850/1135 mm and a wheelbase of 2735 mm.
The rear of the car still continues the retro style, the overall design is very simple, but also quite attractive, especially the left and right side of the circular taillights, very GT racing style, and large diffuser, active spoiler to improve its limit performance.
The interior design is more simple, even "simple", adhering to the concept of "all designs that are not related to driving are canceled", Gordon Murray has taken this new car to the extreme.
The car does not have a central control screen, it still uses a mechanical pointer speedometer, and even the lights behind the steering wheel and the wiper control lever have been cancelled, which are integrated on both sides of the dashboard and the steering wheel.
And the shape of the gear lever is also very "rustic", a bare pestle is there, not to mention that the car is worth more than 10 million, even if it is a vehicle of 100,000 yuan, I am afraid that such a design will be complained about.
Of course, since the driving direction is biased, the power of the new car must be strong enough, it is still equipped with the T.50 3.9-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine tuned by COSWORTH, its maximum speed can reach 11100rpm, at 10500rpm can output a maximum of 615 horsepower, peak torque of 451 Nm / 9000 rpm, matched with a manual transmission, while supporting optional paddle shifters.
The new car will start production in 2023 and deliveries will begin in 2024.
