Philippine Foreign Minister: We are willing to negotiate with China, but we will do so based on the results of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration

author:Shuofang Arsenal

After the Philippines suffered a big loss at Ren'ai Jiao not long ago, the outside world originally thought that it would be able to realize its mistakes and repent as soon as possible, but what people did not expect was that the Philippines did not seem to have the intention of giving up, but it was very likely that a new conspiracy was still brewing. Recently, according to ITAR, the Philippine foreign minister expressed his willingness to "talk" with the Chinese side, but this is likely to be a "smoke bomb" used by the Philippines to confuse the public and a foreshadowing for a new round of provocations.

According to ITAR, not so long ago, Philippine Foreign Secretary Enrique Manalo said that the Philippine side will seek a peaceful settlement of the dispute in accordance with international law, in particular the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and the results of the 2016 "arbitration". Moreover, the Philippine side has set up a so-called "working group" to plan and advance the matter.

I have to say that the Philippine Foreign Minister's remarks seem to be promoting the so-called "negotiations", but in fact they are more like a blatant "provocation book". As everyone knows, the so-called "2016 South China Sea Arbitration" was originally a farce unilaterally carried out by the Philippines at the instigation of the United States and the West, and it has no legal effect at all. In particular, when we did not participate in it at all, this "arbitration" actually directly ruled that the Philippines "won the case", which is even more ridiculous. It can be seen that the Philippine Foreign Minister's public proposal to "negotiate" with such a so-called "arbitration" that we do not recognize at all is not only unrealistic, but also obviously provocative.

In fact, our side has already responded to this so-called "arbitration" with practical actions. In 2016, in order to support the Philippines, the United States brazenly dispatched a huge formation led by a 100,000-ton nuclear-powered aircraft carrier into the South China Sea. Our military immediately responded by also conducting large-scale military exercises in the South China Sea, demonstrating our army's firm determination to safeguard the sacred sovereignty and dignity of the motherland. Under these circumstances, the US military was obviously deterred by our powerful aura and finally had to leave in a hurry. It can be seen that the so-called "arbitration" is completely a dead letter, and it is impossible to have the slightest "effect".

Now, eight years have passed, and this "arbitration" was not realized back then, and it is even more impossible to achieve it now, and it is undoubtedly very ridiculous that the Philippines is still talking about this so-called "arbitration".
