Disney's new adventure in the Magic Kingdom is a cool must-have - Tiana Bay Travelogue

At Disneyland in Florida, a highly anticipated new attraction – Tiana's Bay Travels – has officially opened, bringing a new experience of the world of Princesses and Frogs to long-awaited fans. Inspired by the animated film The Princess and the Frog, this water coaster continues the legendary rafting journey, blending into the magical swamps of Disneyland and the adventures of Tiana. The soft opening and first day of the past few weeks have been overwhelmingly reverberated with excellent animations, sets and original music, especially the theme song sung by Tiana herself, Anika Noni Rose.

To take a dip this summer and get an early glimpse of Princess Tiana's story ahead of the release of her Disney+ animated series, make sure to download the MyDisneyExperience app. In the app, you'll need to save your group-wide ticketing information in your trip planner (preferably with the most tech-savvy person on your group), and note that multiple people can try to book a virtual queue for the entire group at the same time, but you must make sure that everyone chooses to draw lots for the same group.

There will be one virtual queue at 7 a.m. and one virtual queue at 1 p.m. each day (7 p.m. can take place anywhere in the park), but be aware that in the Magic Kingdom, you can only choose between the two: either the TRON Light Wheel from Tron or Tiana's Adventure. If you're going to try it twice, you can choose to try Tiana first in the morning and then make the hard decision at 1 p.m.: whether to get the free Tiana queue again (not guaranteed) or lock in Tron: Chronicles (again not guaranteed). It is important to note that the 1 p.m. re-attempt is to ensure that the team is in during the park's operating hours.

The rules may seem complicated, but there's another way to make sure you experience popular events like Tron: Chronicles and Tiana's Bay Travels, and that's through virtual queue bookings, which don't currently have regular waiting lines. The traditional Genie+ service has been upgraded to a "lightning lane" with instant pay, where you can choose between a one-time or three-item package.

With the Lightning Lane Three-Event Pack, you can choose up to three projects in a theme park. If you're staying at a Disney hotel or partner hotel, you can book at least seven days prior to your trip and choose a time that suits you. Tickets are purchased on the day and availability will be subject to availability. The three selections will be divided into three tiers: one for the hottest new E-ticket projects (such as Tiana or Gen: Chronicles), and the other two for classics with lower demand (such as Haunted House). Fees are adjusted according to the date of travel and fluctuate from high season to low season.

With just one single lightning drive, the same rules apply to Tiana's Cove Travels or other popular projects, except that the available dates vary depending on the schedule, and each team is limited to two one-time options.

Here are the options for the afternoon on the first day at Disneyland:

Don't miss out on Tiana's Bay Travels because you don't know the rules, consider the above information when planning your trip to Disney World. Even if you miss it, don't worry, Tiana's Bay Travels will soon open on the West Coast of Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
