Germany advanced to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 with a 2-0 win over Denmark in the round of 16, postponed by thunderstorms, thanks to second-half goals from Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala.
Germany started the game strongly, creating a number of chances through Kimmich and Kai Havertz, but were more cautious after that.
But a severe storm forced referee Oliver to suspend the game for 20 minutes.
Shortly after the break, Danish defender Joachim Anderson had a close-range shot ruled out for offside, before Havertz converted a penalty in the 53rd minute handball to give Germany the lead.
The hosts established an unshakable lead in the 68th minute after Hojlund's other shot was saved by Neuer, with Musiala breaking through with the ball to score his third goal of the tournament.
After the second goal, the Danish team did not achieve anything, and the final score was 2:0.
Germany became the second team to reach the quarterfinals, where they will face Spain or Georgia.
