A few days ago, FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products". It has been decided to recall some bZ3 electric vehicles manufactured between March 13, 2023 and November 9, 2023, a total of 25,815 units, with immediate effect. Due to the imperfect program of the power battery management controller for some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the remaining power estimate deviation of the vehicle is too large when the vehicle is not fully charged for many times and continues to drive at high speed, and the remaining power of the power battery displayed by the instrument is higher than the actual remaining power. In extreme cases, the vehicle loses power before the charging warning light comes on, which is a safety hazard. FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will upgrade the control program of the battery management controller for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology to eliminate potential safety hazards.
A few days ago, Sichuan Bus Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products". It has been decided to recall a total of 24 Emei brand electric city buses produced on August 28, 2018 from December 28, 2023. In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the rectangular steel pipes of the grille underframe near the rear suspension on both sides of the frame are affected by welding, which may cause excessive local stress and fatigue cracks, which will affect the strength of the frame and pose potential safety hazards. The recall was carried out in the context of a defect investigation initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Affected by the investigation, Sichuan Bus Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will install reinforcing plates for the grille underframe of the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
