Mr. Yu Xinzhi, a scholar and outstanding calligrapher and painter, was born in Leshan, Sichuan Province in 1941 and settled in Beijing. Descendant of Genghis Khan's Golden Family. At present, he is a national first-class artist and professor, vice chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Literary and Art Circles of China, president of Beijing Xinzhi Shizhuzhai Painting and Calligraphy Institute, lifelong president of China Moruo Painting and Calligraphy Academy, art consultant of Xu Beihong Painting Institute, executive chairman of the International Association of Calligraphers and Painters, art director of China Tao Xingzhi Education Foundation, and visiting professor of Southwest Jiaotong University.
In 1989, he successfully held a solo exhibition of calligraphy and painting at the National Art Museum of China, which is well-known at home and abroad. In 2007, he was invited to participate in the large-scale event of "Commemorating the 800th Anniversary of the Founding of Genghis Khan" in Outer Mongolia and was awarded the "Genghis Khan" Medal of Honor; In 2010, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Person of World Chinese Elite" and "Outstanding Artist of World Chinese" by the World Federation of Overseas Chinese; In 2011, he was awarded the medal of "Outstanding Calligrapher and Painter of the Republic" by the state; In 2014, he was awarded the medal of "National 'May 1' Model Worker"; In 2015, he was named "Inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage" and awarded the honorary title of "Grandmaster of the Generation". In 2017, he held an exhibition in Los Angeles, USA, and was invited to the United Nations Conference Hall to participate in the summit forum, and was cordially received by Chairman Bruce Roots and took a group photo. In 2021, Mr. Yu Xinzhi, together with top artists such as Zhang Daqian, Lin Sanzhi, Li Kuchan, Lin Fengmian, Qi Gong, Li Keran, Ouyang Zhongshi, Huang Yongyu, and Shen Peng, were named "Top Ten Peak Artists of New China in the Centennial of Art". In 2024, it will be awarded to the inheritors of the four quintessences of China.
In 2012, Mr. Yu completed the 100-meter-long scroll "Hundred Bamboo Heroic Soul - Ten Thousand Bamboo Souls Casting Spring and Autumn" with a length of 103 meters and a width of 1.2 meters, setting a world record of "the most diverse and beautiful 100-meter-long scroll of bamboo painting", which has been inherited for thousands of years. In 2016, the 100-meter-long scroll was included in the "National History of China", leaving immortal bamboo painting historical materials and precious wealth for the world, which will be recorded in the annals of history forever. Since 1993, the General Post Administration of China has published more than 30 sets of commemorative stamps for Mr. Yu Xinzhi, which have been issued worldwide to spread culture. He has also published hundreds of sets of Yu Xinzhi's personal monographs and paintings. Hundreds of works have been permanently collected and displayed by hundreds of art collections at home and abroad, such as the National Museum of China and the National Art Museum of China. His personal biography has been included in more than 100 dictionaries such as "Chinese Character Yearbook", "National History of China", "Dictionary of Chinese Artists and Celebrities", and "World Figures". Mr. Yu Xinzhi has devoted his whole life to the promotion of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and has made outstanding contributions.
