On the morning of June 25, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Zhonggu Education and Technology New City project, which came into being under the environment of national industry-city integration, was held in Shuixiu Town, Taigu District, Jinzhong City.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives of 160 units, including China Urban Construction Research Institute, Beijing Aerospace Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., and JD.com.
After five years of careful operation, Zhonggu New Town has introduced nearly 200 large central enterprises, state-owned enterprises, Fortune 500 listed companies and leading enterprises in various industries to jointly invest in the construction and build the industrial ecology of Zhonggu New Town. With the goal of "building a city and revitalizing education, revitalizing education and gathering production and prosperous areas", the project is committed to building Taigu District into a "new education city suitable for teaching, learning, research, innovation, business and living", aiming to create a modern industry-education integration system reform pilot area led by the University of Applied Sciences, with industrial ecology as the backbone and community life as the basis, and to create an international, modern, ecological and intelligent "China's No. 1 Education Greater Bay Area".
Before the start of the ceremony, the guests observed the project exhibition board, the project planning college sector, scientific research sector, characteristic industrial park sector, industrial park sector, financial investment sector five major sections, and at the same time supporting the construction of facilities and venues related to the learning and people's livelihood of residents in the new science and technology city. It is estimated to cover a total area of 7,332 acres, about 4.888 million square meters, with a total construction area of 6.14 million square meters, including 5.34 million square meters of above-ground construction area and 800,000 square meters of underground construction area. The total investment is 55.2 billion yuan.
At the ceremony, a tripartite signing ceremony was held between the government, investment enterprises and Hengdeyuan, and 10 enterprises including China Urban Construction Institute and Jingdong signed contracts on the spot.
After the completion of the Zhonggu Education and Science and Technology New City project, it will become a model city of national integration of industry and education in scientific and technological innovation, bringing together the world's top scientific research institutions and innovative enterprises, and it is also a holy land for the integration of dreams and reality.
