What is a student qualification check?
Before boarding each academic year, passengers who meet the conditions for purchasing student tickets should complete the verification of student discount qualifications online or go to the designated ticket window or automatic ticket vending/ticket machine at the station to go through the verification procedures for their resident ID card and student discount card once.
Note: The school year runs from October 1 to September 30 of the following year.

How do I check my student's qualifications?
Passengers who meet the conditions for purchasing student tickets and have not verified their student qualifications should go through the verification of student preferential qualifications in advance through the railway 12306 APP (the preferential section of student tickets will be verified by the station and train on the way).

If you fail to pass the online student discount qualification verification, the verification status of the student ticket purchased online is not verified, and you need to reserve sufficient time to go to the designated ticket window or automatic ticket vending machine at the station to go through the preferential qualification verification procedures for your ID card and the train ticket student discount card before boarding.

How to check online accreditation schools

What should I do if I fail to complete or fail to pass the student qualification verification?
If it is found that the student qualification verification has not been handled or has not passed, the fare difference will be charged according to the full price of the whole journey, and after arriving at the station, the ticket will be replaced by the train, the student ID card and the valid ID card used when purchasing the ticket, and the qualification verification and refund procedures will be handled at the station window within 30 days.
How do I change the discount section?
If the preferential travel section of the student card needs to be changed, the official seal of the institution should be re-stamped, and the relevant information in the student discount card for train tickets should be modified.
At the same time, it is also necessary to compare the home address and the travel range in the student ID card, and modify the travel range of the student's preferential qualification online. Users who have completed the verification of student discount qualifications can apply for an online change of travel zone 4 times per academic year. Once the modification is completed, the student discount eligibility information will take effect immediately, and you can purchase a student ticket online based on the remaining discounts in the current year.

What should I do if the discount section is inconsistent with the student ID?
If the verification finds that the preferential travel section filled in is inconsistent with the preferential travel section in the student ID, the different situations can be solved as follows:
For those who take the bus beyond the section recorded on the student card, the fare difference in excess of the section will be charged, and the number of discounts that have been verified and reduced will not be refunded.
For those who do not meet the preferential travel section in the student ID card or do not meet the conditions for price reduction, the fare difference will be charged at the full price of the whole journey, and the number of discounts that have been reduced will be refunded.

Can freshmen/graduates buy student tickets?

Ticket purchase: New students can purchase a one-way student ticket between the student's home location and the school's location once in the current year with a valid ID card on the 12306 website (including mobile APP) or at the station manual window with a valid ID card with the admission notice and the written certificate issued by the school.
Entering the station: Since new students and graduates do not have a student discount card and cannot go through the student qualification review, new students can enter the station through the manual ticket inspection channel with the admission notice, and the graduates can enter the station through the manual ticket inspection channel with the written certificate issued by the school and the valid ID card used when purchasing the ticket.
Is it possible to purchase a student ticket in sections?

According to the preferential boarding section indicated on the student card, if there is no direct train or one of the sections of the EMU train can be purchased in sections, the arrival station of the ticket in the first section and the departure station of the ticket in the latter section should be the same or the same city railway passenger business station, and the number of discounts will be deducted by 1 time.
