On June 26th, the immersive multi-dimensional space drama "Only This Zhouzhuang" opened. The whole performance follows the four chapters of "Old Dreams, Paintings, Expeditions, and Pathfinding", and adopts two main lines - the dream and life of the Song people "Zhou He", and the one-night dream of the modern youth "Zhou He", the two lines are intertwined and echo each other. Through the story of two tired travelers in ancient and modern times who found the light of their souls in Zhouzhuang, the audience wandered in the two layers of spiritual space that were separated by 900 years but echoed each other, and felt "live up to my heart, only this Zhouzhuang".
"Only This Zhouzhuang" immersive multi-dimensional space drama is jointly created by China Oriental Performing Arts Group and Zhouzhuang Town People's Government, and is the first "Only This" series of cultural tourism performances of China Oriental Performing Arts Group after the stage play "Only This Green". This drama is not only a gorgeous turn of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, but also a new benchmark for the integrated development of culture and tourism in Jiangnan Water Town. The practice of "Only This Zhouzhuang" condenses the heavy and light cultural connotation of Jiangnan into a high-level, palace-level artistic feast, vividly reconstructs the new imagination space of cultural tourism in water towns, and also provides new ideas for cultural tourism to empower urban renewal.

"This performing arts work has gone through countless days and nights of polishing and carving, presenting the 900-year history and culture of Zhouzhuang in 80 minutes, and every scene embodies our deep understanding and love for the history and culture of Zhouzhuang." Jin Tao, the chief director of "Only This Zhouzhuang", shared the story behind the creation of this work.
A drama that allows the audience to experience an 80-minute immersion journey. The exterior design of the theater incorporates natural elements to reinterpret the elegant contemporary art space. "Only This Zhouzhuang" draws inspiration from the local culture, combined with the shape and meaning of the water town, integrates people, architecture and nature, and the overall space design is embedded with a coat, and the scenery changes step by step, so that visitors feel like entering a green picture.
The theater of "Only This Zhouzhuang" was born on the original site of the performance of "Four Seasons Zhouzhuang", close to the main entrance of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, covering an area of more than 22,000 square meters, of which the "One Scene Jiangnan" theater has a construction area of more than 10,000 square meters and can accommodate 350 audiences at the same time. Designed by the Landscape Architecture Design and Research Institute of the China Academy of Art, the theater is simplified and reconstructed in a modern aesthetic way, and the two curtains set up on the site are light and pure. The theater extracts classic symbolic elements from the traditional architecture of Zhouzhuang, and integrates the classical artistic conception into the architecture with an international and modern architectural language. Half is inheritance, realizing the dialogue between tradition and modernity in time and space; Half of it is the present, leading the audience to find the inner philosophy of life "only this". The theater of "Only This Zhouzhuang" leads the audience to the beginning of poetry and art, which can be called an "art container" with great tolerance and carrying capacity. At the same time, it has become a "work of art" in its own right.
In the ink painting scroll of the south of the Yangtze River, the ancient town of Zhouzhuang is like a bright pearl, quietly telling the story of thousands of years. Now, this pearl shines again, opening a new chapter - "Only This Zhouzhuang".
