An international jury has unveiled its way to creativity

The upcoming Busan International Advertising Festival 2024 is once again in the spotlight of the global creative scene. This year, the judging panel brought together 374 industry experts from 70 countries and was led by four chairs of the jury who are highly regarded in the industry. They are Emma de la Fosse, Chief Creative Officer of Edelman UK, Joji Jacob, Chief Creative Officer of HAVAS for Southeast Asia and North Asia and co-founder of BLKJ Singapore, Matt MacDonald, Chief Creative Officer of BBDO New York, and Suzanne J. 埃玛·德拉·福塞 (Emma of the Pit)

Emma became Ogilvy UK's first Group Chief Creative Officer in 2016. Under her co-leadership, Ogilvy One became the UK's most popular digital and direct marketing agency. Three years later, she became the Chief Creative Officer of LinkedIn, one of the UK's top digital agencies, and helped rebuild its creative reputation. Today, she is the Chief Creative Officer of Edelman UK, the world's largest and most successful PR and communications company. In 2020, Emma received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Caples Awards for her outstanding creative skills in the field of customer marketing.

She commented, "The Busan International Advertising Festival is a very interesting advertising event. In addition to the great integrated creative work, I'm also looking forward to seeing some exciting digital content ideas. The advent of generative AI is a fundamental change that is currently underway in the creative industries. That's why I look for ideas with a human touch in digital content. 乔吉·雅各布(Joji Jacob)

Georgie is the Chief Creative Officer for Havas South East Asia and North Asia and the co-founder of BLKJ Havas Singapore. He has over 20 years of experience in the industry and has worked for some of the largest and best agencies in India and Singapore such as FCB, Ogilvy, JWT, BBDO and DDB. In February this year, he was appointed Chief Creative Officer for Havas for South East Asia and North Asia, while continuing to serve as the creative partner in Singapore for BLKJ, which he co-founded in 2016. He is not only a member of Havas Global Creative Council, but also Chairman of the Asia Pacific Creative Committee. Georgie has been named "Singapore's Most Influential Creative Director" by the Singapore Advertising Association and "Southeast Asia Creative Person of the Year" by Campaign for two consecutive years.

马特·麦克唐纳(Matt MacDonald)

Matt is the Chief Creative Officer of BBDO New York, having joined the firm in 2014 as Executive Vice President and Group Creative Director. He later rose to the position of Chief Creative Officer for AT&T (the company's largest client in the U.S.) at Omnicom, where he managed cross-agency teams in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. Matt has led BBDO to several major new projects and was instrumental in the creative transformation of JWT New York prior to joining BBDO. With this wealth of experience, he has won several awards at prestigious advertising festivals such as Cannes Lions and One Show, and has served as a judge at D&AD and the London International Advertising Festival.

苏珊娜·阿佩尔鲍姆(Suzana Apelbaum)

Suzanne is the head of creativity and innovation at Google. She has had a profound impact on the digital environment of the Brazilian advertising industry, having successfully completed projects for global brands including Converse, Coca-Cola, L'Oréal, Unilever, and won more than 30 international awards in 20 years. Currently, she is leading several projects at Google to expand the creative scope of media, leading the innovation of digital campaigns and media collaborations such as Google Search, YouTube, and Google Pixel, as well as leveraging Google's data, technology, and platforms to build next-generation brands. He was recently named "one of the most influential creative directors in the world" by AdWomen.

In addition, this year's judging panel includes experts from big tech companies such as Netflix and Meta, global advertising groups such as Dentsu, Omnicom, IPG, WPP, and professionals active in global companies such as the LEGO Group, Amazon, Epic Games, Pepsi, and more. Judging by judges from different countries, languages and cultural backgrounds, the Busan International Advertising Festival will discover and share creative solutions from around the world based on respect for cultural diversity. Rigorous judging process: to ensure fairness and impartiality

The judging process for the 2024 Busan International Advertising Festival will be divided into one round of preliminary screening and three rounds of final screening. The shortlist of finalists for the professional group selected through the online preliminary review will be announced on July 19, followed by three rounds of final review to determine the attribution of each award. The first round of online final judging and the second round of offline final judging will select the Grand Award, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Crystal Awards in each category. The third round of offline final judging will be discussed by the four jury chairs of each category to finalize the winning entries of the annual awards. This award is the highest honor of the Busan International Advertising Festival, and is awarded to the best of the winners in the Product & Service (P&S) and Public Service Advertising (PSA) categories. The winning entries in the non-professional category will be decided through a round of preliminary judging.

Entry information and event arrangement

All of this year's winning entries will be announced at the award ceremony on Friday, August 23, 2024, the last day of the 2024 Busan International Advertising Festival.

The 2024 Busan International Advertising Festival, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the City of Busan, will be held for three days from August 21 (Wed) in the Haeundae area of Busan. We look forward to your participation and witness the global creative event.
