On June 27th, an exhibition that brings together the essence of archaeological drawing and photography - "Wonderful Hands - Li Xiating Archaeological Drawing Exhibition, Liang Ziming Archaeological Photography Exhibition" was grandly opened in Jinyang Ancient City Archaeological Museum. The exhibition is organized by the Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics and supported by the Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, the Taiyuan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, and the Jinyang Ancient City Archaeological Museum, and will last until November.
A total of 87 works are exhibited in this exhibition, which not only cover the archaeological sites, relics and artifacts of many famous sites such as the Houma Tomb, the Houma Jin Kingdom Ruins, the Lourui Tomb of the Northern Qi Dynasty in Taiyuan, and the Quwo Jin Marquis Cemetery, but also show the outstanding achievements of Shanxi's archaeological mapping and archaeological photography, as well as the hard work and persistent pursuit of the older generation of archaeologists. Among them, the works of Mr. Li Xiating and Mr. Liang Ziming are particularly eye-catching, as experts in the field of archaeological drawing and photography, they have left a valuable legacy for the archaeological cause of Shanxi with their brushes and lenses.
Cao Weiming, member of the Party Group of the Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau and director of the Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics, said in his speech that the exhibition is an important practice of the construction of the "City of Museums" in Taiyuan City, and is of great significance for strengthening the activation and utilization of cultural and museum resources and polishing the business card of the historical and cultural city.
