The earthquake experience platform simulates earthquake scenarios
As one of the activities of the "City of Glory" 2024 Shanghai Red Culture Season, the District State Action Office has specially prepared a check-in game to deepen children's understanding of various civil defense facilities and inherit and promote the red culture by looking at pictures and finding objects.
In the civil air defense exhibition area, the children first learned about the underground civil defense project in Hongkou District and looked for the closest civil defense facilities to their homes. Volunteers introduced the children to the meaning of the three types of air raid sirens, invited the children to listen to the discrimination, and experienced the hand-cranked siren.
The disaster emergency exhibition area restores the real disaster scenes, and allows children to experience typhoons, earthquakes and other disaster scenes in an all-round way through scenes and VR real-life simulations, and master the knowledge of risk avoidance, escape and first aid in the experience.
In addition, in the fire safety knowledge training room, volunteers explained fire protection knowledge, displayed fire fighting equipment, personal protective equipment, etc., and learned the types and use methods of fire extinguishers.
The reporter learned that in the next step, the District State Office will continue to make good use of the method of "joint", build a good platform for the joint construction of the branch, make good use of the propaganda position of the "civil defense education base", further strengthen the organization and construction of the joint branch, release the efficiency of the fighting fortress, and make every effort to build a "big hand holding small hand" national defense propaganda brand, and transmit the civil air defense story and national defense voice to the peripheral nerves.

It is reported that the Hongkou District Civil Defense Education and Training Base, with an exhibition space of about 1,100 square meters, is composed of five exhibition areas: audio-visual, preface hall, civil air defense, disaster emergency response, and future civil air defense, and is an important place for citizens and young people to receive patriotism and national defense education.
