A few days ago, Fengjie County's 2024 "China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort Survey" was launched in Longhe Village, Tuxiang Town. Su Chang, deputy director and researcher of the Public Nutrition Office of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, led the expert group to conduct on-site supervision and communication on the investigation.

It is understood that the "China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort Survey" is based on the "China Health and Nutrition Survey" to carry out a follow-up survey project, through the dynamic observation of the social and national economic development of the mainland in different periods, to understand the living standards, food structure, nutritional status and changes of urban and rural residents in different regions of the mainland, to provide a scientific basis for formulating nutrition and health-related policies, guiding residents to establish a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Since 2011, Chongqing has been undertaking the China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort Survey, and has completed three rounds of surveys so far. In 2024, cohort follow-up will continue in Nan'an District, Shapingba District, Jiangjin District, Dazu District, Qijiang District, and Fengjie County.

The Fengjie County Center for Disease Control and Prevention adopted a variety of methods of publicity in this round of cohort surveys, including posters, banners, mobile propaganda vehicles, and Murakami radio. From June 17th to June 23rd, the investigation team went into 20 households in Longhe Village, Tuxiang Town, to carry out household and individual surveys, conducted questionnaire surveys on the daily life conditions of households, such as income, diet, drinking water, etc., distributed sports watches, blood glucose patches, feces and urine collection consumables, and collected oral mucosal exfoliated cells and saliva from the survey subjects who met the requirements.

On June 23, a physical measurement was carried out in the Longhe Village office, including height, weight, body composition, lung capacity, etc., and for the residents who were unable to go to the physical test site due to their limited mobility, the Tuxiang Town Central Health Center dispatched vehicles to pick up and drop off the residents to and from the village office for physical measurement.

Next, the center will spend three weeks to complete the post-survey of this year's "China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort Survey" in Fengjie County in three survey sites. (Chen Cheng)
