What is the most important thing about new energy vehicles? Of course, it is the "three electrics" technology, if the "three electrics" are not up to the mark, no matter how good the configuration is, it is not a trivial matter. Digging deeper, the most difficult to break through is the power battery.
At this stage, the mainstream power batteries are the ternary lithium batteries of CATL and BYD's "blade batteries", which are in the forefront of the battery industry in terms of installed capacity and public recognition.
On June 27, Geely's self-developed new generation of "blade" lithium iron phosphate battery - Aegis short knife battery was officially released. The choice to launch at this time node can be said to be quite directional, "blocking" the new generation of blade batteries that BYD plans to release in August in advance.
The new generation of Aegis short knife battery has a shorter and more compact size and volume, the whole package layout is more flexible, and the safety, cycle life, fast charging capacity and low-temperature discharge performance have been improved, and the energy density has been increased to nearly 200Wh/kg, which will be the first to be carried on the Galaxy E5.
Geely's current long-knife battery cell length is 960mm, while the short-knife battery cell length is 580mm, which achieves higher safety through a shorter, more compact size and volume design, further improves the flexibility of the whole package layout, and increases the energy density to nearly 200Wh/kg, exceeding the 190Wh/kg of BYD's second-generation blade battery.
In addition, it can maintain better performance and faster charging speed at low temperatures, with a 10%-80% SOC charging time of only 17 minutes.
The first model, the Galaxy E5, is based on GEA's intelligent new energy architecture, adopts CTB technology, and is equipped with an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive and Aegis short knife battery. The new car is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 160kW, matched with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack provided by Great Wall Honeycomb, which can achieve a minimum power consumption of 11.9kWh per 100km and a pure electric range of 440km/530km (CLTC mode).
Tian Heqi, trainee reporter of Jiemian News, Geely released the latest generation of "blade-type" lithium iron phosphate batteries, with an energy density of 192Wh/kg, Geely Automobile (00175. HK) in June...
AbstractThe cost of solid-state batteries is higher than that of liquid batteries, but they have higher energy density and longer service life. The cost of semi-solid-state batteries is mainly to reduce the unit price and improve the yield rate.
