In terms of structure, Geely released a short blade with a length of 580 mm, which is about 40% shorter than the traditional long knife battery, with smaller internal resistance and heat generation, a 50% increase in volume utilization, and an energy density of 192Wh/kg, comparable to ternary lithium batteries.

In addition, the Aegis short knife battery has achieved a cycle life of 3,500 cycles and can travel more than 1 million kilometers, thanks to its short cell shape, the power transfer path of the cell is shortened, and the charging speed is 1.5 times that of the long knife battery, and it only takes 17 minutes and 4 seconds to charge in the range of 10%-80%.

In addition, the battery adopts a wet double-coated separator, with alumina and other heat-resistant coatings, so that the separator is not easy to break and the coating is not easy to shrink when the battery encounters a serious collision, thereby improving the safety of the battery.

The Aegis short knife battery pack has passed 6 "devil-level" serial tests carried out by the China Automotive Center, including seawater surfing, plateau extreme cold, high-frequency bottom scraping (3 times scraping), extreme rolling, battery pack side pillar collision, and flame scorching 6 tests, among which, a number of individual test requirements are higher than the national standard, and also has a number of industry-first difficult test conditions.

In addition, the battery cell of the Aegis short knife battery is 8 times higher than the national standard, and 8 steel needles with a diameter of 5mm are punctured and kept for 1h at the same time, and the battery cell does not smoke, fire, or explode, and it is also the world's first battery cell that has passed the 5.8mm real bullet gun penetration test, which can still not catch fire and explode under extreme damage conditions.
