The Japanese side wanted to obtain more benefits and resources from China, but it was always unwilling to give enough sincerity and attitude, so it was immediately rejected at that time. Unexpectedly, the Japanese side not only did not reflect on its own mistakes, but even took the initiative to start hyping up issues related to the Taiwan Strait.
Cross-strait reunification is the bottom line of every Chinese, but Japan sent more than 30 parliamentarians to Taiwan Province to participate in the so-called "inauguration ceremony" on the day of 520, provoking the mainland's bottom line and hurting our national feelings.
On May 27, the World Health Assembly was held in Geneva, Switzerland. At this moment, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken called for the Five Eyes alliance and the G7 to allow "Taiwan Province to participate in the World Health Assembly", in which Japan actively responded to the call of the United States.
However, with the successful conclusion of the military exercises against Taiwan, changes are slowly taking place within the Japanese side, and some Japanese officials are also considering whether to continue to "provoke China" when they see China's military strength, and have put forward new views on the situation in the Taiwan Strait.
What are the two problems that Japan wants to solve? What is the new point of view put forward by the Japanese side?
First of all, the issues that Japan wants to lift are the ban on the export of Japanese aquatic products to China and the issue of visa-free travel for Japanese nationals to China for a short period of time.
The so-called "ban on the export of aquatic products" is really unrealistic in Japan. Fumio Kishida allowed the discharge of the first batch of wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear power plant in August 2023, according to NHK, which means that all seafood in Japanese waters today may be retained with nuclear radiation.
As a major exporter of aquatic products, if the export ban is lifted, a large number of aquatic products containing nuclear elements may reach the table of every Chinese, which is too absurd.
In addition to the ban, the Japanese side is also very concerned about the policy related to the short-term visa-free travel of Japanese citizens to China. The so-called visa-free means that Japanese people do not need to undergo any assessment at the Chinese embassy, and can directly take the visa issued by their home country to travel in China.
At the beginning, the short-term visa exemption for Japanese people was given in consideration of Sino-Japanese friendship and investment attraction. However, now Japan is clinging to the thigh of the United States, and instead of taking into account the national feelings of the Chinese people, it has also frequently "contradicted" issues related to the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.
The visa-free policy is generally given to countries with very friendly relations, and now Japan does not meet this criterion at all. Therefore, although the Japanese representative tried his best to promote this policy, it was still rejected by our representative.
With regard to the new viewpoint put forward by the Japanese side, after the Taiwan Strait exercise, Japan held that "the mainland's military strength far exceeds that of the other side, and if the army fights each other, the other side will certainly not have any chance of fighting back." ”
The reunification of the motherland is a task that is bound to be accomplished, but Japan has taken advantage of the mainland's current strong military strength to propose to "intervene in the Taiwan Strait" and "for the sake of Japan's national security."
The politicians who raised this topic can be said to have thoroughly exposed Japan's ambitions, and also showed that Japan is likely to "make small moves" with the United States in the future.
It is really unforgivable that Japan has not yet completely apologized for its aggression against China, but it has repeatedly continued to hurt the feelings of the Chinese people and undermine the interests of the Chinese people.
