On Saturday, a man armed with a crossbow bolt suddenly appeared in front of the Israeli embassy in Belgrade and mercilessly attacked a Serbian police officer guarding the embassy's security, Serbia's interior minister announced. The sudden attack, like a thunderclap in silence, quickly stirred up public fears about the shadow of "terrorism" that could be linked to "Wahhabism."
According to the detailed description of the Minister of the Interior, Vika Dacic, at 11 a.m., the unidentified attacker, using a crossbow arrow in his hand, shot Serbian policeman in the neck who was escorting the embassy's security. In a subsequent statement, Dacic added that in the face of a sudden attack, the brave officer did not hesitate to "draw his sword and use a weapon to defend himself and return fire, but the attacker died from his injuries."
Dacic angrily called the attack an "act of terrorism against the Serbian state" and a blatant provocation to peace and tranquility. He further revealed to reporters that the incident was "linked to several people who have long been suspected of having ties to the Wahhabi movement," which is once again being pushed to the forefront of the Wahhabi movement, the ultra-conservative Islamic force that dominates Saudi Arabia.
In response to the terrorist attack, the Minister of Internal Affairs decisively stated that several suspects had already been arrested "as a precautionary measure", and at the same time, Belgrade's alert level was quickly raised to new heights, ensuring the safety of the city. And the injured police officer, who has become a hero in the hearts of the people, is now being taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.
