On June 26, the 2024 Global Partner Conference of China Shipbuilding 725 Institute and the inaugural meeting of the Council of the Institute of Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering New Materials Industry were held in Luoyang. The conference aims to focus on value creation, continue to deepen the industrial collaboration and integrated innovation of relevant parties such as upstream and downstream customers, suppliers, and innovation teams in the supply chain, jointly promote the transformation and development of new quality productivity, create more incremental value for all partners, and build a benign and mutually beneficial industrial chain and supply chain ecology with win-win cooperation. Wang Haichang, deputy director of Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Guohui, deputy mayor of Luoyang Municipal Government, attended the conference and delivered speeches, Wang Qihong, director of 725 Institute, delivered a welcome speech, and Xu Jian, deputy director of the institute, attended and presided over the meeting.
On behalf of the provincial and municipal governments, Wang Haichang and Wang Guohui respectively affirmed the achievements of the all-round cooperation between the 725 Institute and global partners, and put forward ardent hopes for focusing on the field of shipbuilding and marine engineering, strengthening the scientific and technological innovation and transformation of achievements in the industrial chain, and continuing to make more and greater contributions to Henan Province and Luoyang City.
Wang Qihong delivered a welcome speech and emphasized that the 725 Institute focuses on the strategy of "high-end products, manufacturing informatization, and brand internationalization", and opens up a new path of industrial development by forging new quality productivity, hoping to work with global partners to gain insight into the general trend, plan for the long term, face the future together, and create a new situation of win-win cooperation.
Wang Qihong put forward a four-point proposal to the conference.
The first is to adhere to the concept of "value creation". We will work with customers and partners to jointly promote the technological progress of new materials and new equipment, make use of the comprehensive advantages of the Institute of Materials, complete professional categories and rich product categories, create needs, solve pain points and extend services for customers through one-stop solutions and complete technical service systems, jointly tap the potential of high-end and green markets, work together to solve key technologies for localization, and jointly enhance the core competitiveness of the industrial chain.
The second is to adhere to the concept of "transformation and empowerment". We will work with our supplier partners to jointly promote the transformation of modern supply chains such as collaboration, leanness, toughness, low-carbon, and digital intelligence, continue to deepen the four synergies of technology, manufacturing, logistics, and services, gather lean and cost-reducing efforts, make up for the shortcomings and weaknesses of the supply chain, and work together to promote green procurement and digital procurement, so as to provide better products and services for joint customers.
The third is to adhere to the concept of "integration and innovation". We will work together with innovation partners to promote the Shipbuilding and Marine New Materials Industry Research Institute to become bigger and stronger, gather the innovation synergy of important customers in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, universities and institutes, supporting units, financial institutions, etc., promote the deep integration of production, education, research and application, accelerate new technological breakthroughs and new industry incubation, lead the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries, and accelerate the formation of new quality productivity.
Fourth, adhere to the concept of "ecological co-construction". We will work with all partners to strengthen strategic cooperation, strive to increase the contribution rate of strategic cooperation, and cultivate a high-quality development community that mitigates risks and collaborates for win-win results. Strengthen the joint construction of quality, committed to "creating high-quality military products and creating famous brands for civilian products", and promote the implementation of penetrating quality control requirements; Strengthen compliance and joint construction, and strive to create a new type of cooperative relationship of "pro" and "clean", so as to create a clean and upright business environment.
At the meeting, 725 made theme reports such as "Focus on Value Creation, Promote Transformation and Upgrading, Integration and Innovation, and Promote the High-quality Coordinated Development of Industrial Supply Chain", "Strengthen Quality Co-construction, and Build a Collaborative and Win-win High-quality Development Community"; Representatives of six domestic and foreign partners, including China State Shipbuilding Group Materials Co., Ltd., German Poller Filtration System (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Shipbuilding International Co., Ltd., China Huanqiu Engineering Co., Ltd., Northwest Nonferrous Metals Research Institute, and GTT (China), made exchange speeches. Representatives of two overseas shipowners, including Norway's Frontline, shared their cooperation experience through video. Domestic and foreign partners jointly expressed their common desire to work together, develop synergistically and achieve win-win cooperation.
During the meeting, the first board of directors of the Institute of New Materials of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering was held and a grand unveiling ceremony of the Institute was held. Wang Haichang, Deputy Director of Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Guohui, Deputy Mayor of Luoyang Municipal Government, and Wang Yaoguang, Mayor of Jianxi District; Wang Qihong, Chairman of the Institute, Xu Jian, Executive Vice President, and Zhou Qi, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao, unveiled the establishment of the Institute.
The conference commended 60 high-quality suppliers at home and abroad in 2023, held 10 gold medal and 20 silver supplier award ceremonies, and signed cooperation with strategic customers, strategic suppliers, and members of the innovation alliance, with a total amount of nearly 1.5 billion yuan.
More than 110 units and more than 200 people attended the meeting, including the deputy chief engineer of the institute, the main persons in charge of relevant functional departments and member units, and representatives of global partners.
