June 2024 is the 14th National Anti-drug Publicity Month, in order to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on anti-drug work, further popularize the knowledge of drug harm, expand anti-drug publicity and education, enhance the awareness and ability of young people to prevent drug abuse, and create a strong anti-drug propaganda atmosphere, on the occasion of the 37th International Anti-Drug Day, the Gaotai County Committee of the Communist Youth League actively participated in anti-drug propaganda volunteer service activities.
During the activity, the young volunteers publicized the relevant national anti-drug laws and regulations, popularized the harm of addictive drug abuse and the prevention of new drugs to young people and residents by hanging propaganda banners, placing anti-drug knowledge display boards, setting up consultation desks, distributing anti-drug proposals, leaflets and fans, and popularizing anti-drug knowledge on the spot, calling on everyone to cherish life and stay away from drugs.
At the same time, the Youth League and County Committee have also vigorously carried out anti-drug propaganda and education through the new media affiliated to the Youth League on a regular basis, continuously strengthened the construction of the Communist Youth League's "Internet Army" team such as online commentators, online propagandists, Internet civilization volunteers, and high-level young netizens, and continued to carry out anti-drug propaganda and guidance. It has also mobilized and organized grassroots youth league organizations to actively do a good job in anti-drug propaganda and drug prevention education in rural areas, so as to enhance the awareness and ability of rural youth to recognize, prevent, and reject drugs.
In the next step, the Youth League and County Committee will continue to take volunteer service as the carrier, actively explore more anti-drug education activities with novel forms and rich contents, constantly broaden the channels of anti-drug propaganda, expand the coverage of anti-drug propaganda, continuously enhance the legal awareness and self-prevention awareness of the masses, consciously stay away from drugs, and jointly build an iron wall against the erosion of drugs.
