The Chinese Embassy in Italy reminds Chinese citizens in Italy to pay attention to traffic safety

author:Impression of Lai'an

Recently, the number of outbound "independent travel" Chinese tourists has gradually increased, and some tourists choose to rent local transportation to travel, and often suffer from penalties for violations due to unfamiliarity with local traffic regulations, and suffer from theft and loss of money and property. The Chinese Embassy in Italy reminds Chinese citizens in Italy to abide by traffic laws and pay attention to driving safety.

1. Prepare the driver's license use documents in advance

Chinese citizens who have resided in Italy for less than one year can use their Chinese driver's license to drive the corresponding type of motor vehicle locally. The driver should hold the original driver's license and a notarial certificate of driver's license issued by a domestic notary public, which should contain a bilingual version signed by a notary public in Chinese and Italian, and an additional certificate (Apostille) apostille by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China or the foreign affairs office of the relevant local people's government.

2. Strictly abide by local traffic laws

1. Understand the Italian traffic regulations and basic road conditions in advance, pay attention to courtesy, and be familiar with the yield, restriction and prohibition signs;

2. Slow down when crossing the signal light intersection, and do not turn right when the red light is red;

3. Before entering the roundabout, the right turn signal should be played in advance, and the vehicles in the roundabout have the right of priority;

4. When parking, pay attention to the color of the ground sign line, white is free parking space, blue is paid parking space, yellow is special parking space for local residents and institutions;

5. Close the doors and windows after parking, and do not leave any luggage, handbags and other items in the car;

6. Seat belts should be fastened in the front and rear seats of the car, and do not drive without a license, fatigue driving, or dangerous driving.

3. Do a good job in emergency response

During your trip, you should pay close attention to the local social security and weather conditions, and in case of natural disasters or emergencies, please stay calm and take appropriate emergency measures. In case of traffic accidents or theft of property in the car, please report to the local law enforcement agency for help in time, and properly keep the insurance claim materials such as on-site photos and report forms for accident handling and rights protection. In case of interrogation by law enforcement officers, please cooperate, treat the relevant inspection rationally, and avoid taking radical or irrational behavior. Please contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in Italy if necessary.
